For the first time ever in my entire existence, I'm posting about my own portfolio! This was an assignment given to me by a university in which I am applying to. I was told to create a catwalk invite (along with the developments) for a certain brand who undergone some changes either its marketing strategy or their designs.

I have chosen the brand, Valentino. Valentino is a prominent Italian fashion house which was founded by Valentino Garavani in 1960. Valentino is notorious for their elegant, chic, dark and seductive styles. But this mid-January 2016, Valentino bombarded us with their to-die-for collection. The 84 pictures of models stunned with the diversity of design elements and the exceptional silhouettes made us all realize that by this time round, Valentino has more than just its discernible style up in its sleeves; it has adapted more key themes with the commotion of colours and patterns. It truly is a delight for our eyes. Valentino included 4 main different design elements: 1) Galaxy full of the constellations of stars, planets and doodles. 2) Graphics of lava mountains; very vivid colour palette. 3) Inspired by the Japanese traditional paintings of cranes and flowers. 4) Military-based colours, tie dyes and butterfly patches all over. 

Seems like Valentino is targeting on the younger side of the market as they included a WAY more colourful and lively designs and a more youthful silhouettes.

I included the graphics and the patterns of the designs into my developments to show how I interpret the brand's latest Pre-Fall collection instead of creating the exact same one.

Here I am, escaping from my own fantasy. I believe everyone has their own fantasies, whether it be a blissful one or the opposite. As for me, the fantasy I was always trapped in is ever-changing. There was a phase in my life where my fantasy lies between the sad truth and a beautiful lie. My fantasy was none other than a beautiful lie. What I see and feel in my fantasy was the contrast of what I experienced in the real world. It was all romance and fun in my fantasy, whereas every time I go back to the reality, I felt the tinge of hell. Despite me being trapped in my own fantasies back then, I'm proud to be walking away from them now. I learned to appreciate how life is and the fact that everything happens for a reason. 

Anyways, here is the look of the day!

I was wearing a multi-colour maxi dress from Mango and a vintage pink heels with the addition of headbands and bracelets to complement the dress. 

With the mixture of purple, pink, orange and blue in the dress, these colours bring happiness, life, love and peace. I think the mood of this dress represents how I feel today; free. 

This dress doesn't only make women beautiful, but it makes me feel free and actually happy. 

How the dress moves as we swirl and the beautiful colours that brightens up the mood makes me treasure this dress more.

I wonder if people have ever seen a dress and wear it and actually feel a spark or herself? Cause I did the moment I wore the dress. This dress is ultimately beautiful and I bet it speaks for itself. 

Never thought I would learn something from a dress but I did. What a beautifully weird experience.

So, aside from sharing my look of the day, I would like to share what I learned. 

Always learn to love yourself and your life because when you do, even a dress like this can make you feel joyous and beautiful!

Drained and drowning? In what?

First things first, I'm sending my apologies for not updating in a while. I have been drowning in assignments and some works.

Anyways, going back to 'Drained & Drowning', I have been feeling drained over the last few months due to the humongous amount of stress from school. Good news is I managed to overcome the stress and so, here I am. Nonetheless of my long absence from my blog, I'm making an update as soon as I'm free. 

For today's look, I wore my khaki jumpsuit from H&M and my go-to distressed boots from RocketDog. Lately, I've been loving this kinds of look more than I should so I decided to share the above outfit!

What makes me like this jumpsuit is the fact that it is really comfortable to be worn and i just love all the small details it has; from the zipper details to the pocket stitching. And of course, the colour. Who doesn't love khaki? We just can't get over it, can we?

Sadly, this outfit is not suitable for the weather here in Singapore so I wear this jumpsuit on rare occasions.

BLACK & WHITE

Black and white might be juxtaposing colours but they match better than Romeo and Juliet does. They are powerful, iconic, classy, sexy, sporty, they are undeniably the world's favourite colours. I mean, everyone has gotta have these colours in their wardrobe. And that, includes me. 

Happily saying, my wardrobe had newcomers coming from the 'black & white' clan of Topshop. I have 2 looks here I'd like to share. 

First look of today includes a little black dress and a black floppy hat in which both I purchased from Topshop the other day. They were somehow pricy but I find them worthy. ;)

The dress is of course black and white in colour. The white goes along the sleeves of the this polyester dress. I love how this dress goes on with any style. I could just totally top this dress of with a Nike cap and a sneakers for an athleisure look or might as well rock it with a bun on top and a heeled boots for a night out.

Hello, readers! I've been lacking in updates due to my shitloads of assignments these past few days.
